MedMen - Foodie App

(PROJECT DESCRIPTION)

As the creative lead on this project for MedMen, I developed a multi-pronged approach to help the premium cannabis brand engage with customers in innovative ways. For the in-store digital experience, I reimagined MedMen's iPad menu system, creating a custom app that empowered users to deeply explore the [statemade] brand and discover their ideal state of mind. By analyzing customer behavior and market data, my team was able to craft an intuitive interface that demystified the cannabis buying process and provided tailored product recommendations. In a parallel effort, I also designed a standalone app called Foodie that allowed MedMen customers to customize their own edible cannabis products. Similar to the Nike ID concept, Foodie gave users granular control over ingredients, dosing, and packaging - enabling them to create a truly personalized experience. Across both initiatives, my role encompassed ideation, wire-framing, user experience research, and interaction design. By leveraging tools like Figma and Principle, I ensured a cohesive, user-centric approach that elevated MedMen's brand identity and positioned the company as a leader in the rapidly evolving cannabis landscape. The overarching challenge was to normalize a product that had been stigmatized for years, and my design solutions aimed to demystify the buying process and empower customers to explore cannabis with confidence. Through a combination of data-driven insights and innovative digital experiences, I helped MedMen strengthen its connection with consumers and pave the way for broader acceptance of the [statemade] brand.
