CP3 Brand Jordan - Xperience
(PROJECT DESCRIPTION)
We wanted to develop an unforgettable one-on-one experience that would put users right in the action against NBA legend Chris Paul, known as CP3. The concept, titled "One on One", leverages augmented reality technology to create an immersive, basketball-themed encounter. In crafting the overall visual direction, I took inspiration from the bold, energetic branding of the Jordan signature line. The cardboard "dodo" VR glasses that house the user's smartphone have a striking red and blue color scheme, with the iconic Jordan Jumpman logo and "CP3X" branding prominently displayed. This instantly connects the experience to the Jordan brand. When users don the dodo glasses and launch the app, they find themselves on a realistic basketball court, facing off against a hyper-realistic 3D model of CP3. I worked closely with the development team to ensure the digital rendering of CP3 captured his distinct facial features, muscular physique, and athletic movements with precision. From his headband and sneakers to the way he dribbles and attacks the hoop, every detail immerses the user in an authentic one-on-one encounter with the NBA superstar. To heighten the challenge and excitement, I implemented a "three strikes and you're out" mechanic. Users have just three attempts to stop CP3 from blowing past their defense and scoring. This creates a palpable sense of pressure, as users know they have a limited number of chances to prove their defensive skills against one of the league's quickest and most skilled point guards. Overall, the goal was to give Brand Jordan fans an exhilarating, up-close look at what it feels like to face off against an elite NBA player. By combining cutting-edge AR technology, cinematic visuals, and a competitive gameplay loop, I've crafted an experience that allows anyone to step into the shoes of an NBA defender and test their mettle against the legendary CP3.
